Moogerfooger / Moog
Moog on what ANALOG ver Digital :
“What's the difference between analog and digital
sound?
We could write
a book about that. When you watch a movie - you are seeing
approximately 30 still pictures per second. Your eyes are fooled into
seeing a continuous image. However, you can always tell the difference
between the real thing and a movie of the real thing. This is similar
to digital audio, where sound is chopped up into samples (instantaneous
numerical representations of the strength of a sound). When the samples
are reassembled by digital to analog converters, a sound can be heard
as a representation of the original sound - today with quite good
results. In an analog musical circuit, the electrons move analogously
to the sound you hear - just as a guitar string vibrates - ultimately
to produce the sound you hear. The big deal about this is in
specialized applications, such as an electronic musical instruments or
amplifiers - where the musician interacts closely with the sound and
feel of an instrument. Analog instruments have a particular sound and
feel that hasn't been duplicated and is MUSICALLY DESIRABLE.” |
MuRF MF-105
The MF-105 MuRF is a new and unique effect designed by Bob
Moog. MuRF is short for Multiple Resonance Filter Array.
The MuRF provides sequenced filter effects that have not
been heard before! |
 |
Ring Mod
MF-102
The MF-102
Ring Modulator is an award winning effect designed by Bob Moog. It
contains an analog Ring Modulator with a built in Carrier Oscillator
and LFO. Used with guitars, basses, keyboards, samples, or recorded
tracks, the MF-102 can create subtle, or completely over-the-top
effects. Uncontaminated by the digital world! |
 |
Phaser MF-103
The MF-103
12-Stage Phaser is a high quality effect designed by Bob Moog. It
contains an amazing-sounding 6 or 12 stage phaser circuit as well as a
wide-range LFO with an adjustable sweep amount. Used with guitars,
basses, keyboards, samples, or recorded tracks, the MF-103 can apply subtle tonal coloration or
extremely deep phasing that spins your speakers and ears out of
control. Uncontaminated by the digital world! |
 |
Low Pass
Filter MF-101
The award-winning MF-101
Lowpass Filter is a direct descendant of the original Moog modular
synthesizers. It contains two complete modular functions: a
voltage-controlled lowpass filter and an envelope follower. It can be
used with any instrument level to line level signal.
The moogerfooger filter's control parameters are signal mix, cutoff
frequency, resonance amount, and envelope amount. All of the Lowpass
Filter's parameters can be controlled with expression pedals or
external control voltages as well as by great feeling knobs which beg
to be tweaked. Panel switches select filter mode and envelope follower
speed. 1/4" jacks are provided for audio input and output,
pedal/control inputs and envelope follower output. A heavy-duty, yet
smooth-acting bypass switch allows tabletop or foot operation. |

Bass MuRF
MF-105B
Bass players asked for it, so here
it is--a new Moogerfooger designed specifically for them. The new
Bass MuRF(MF-105B) starts with the now classic MuRF
design tweaked (in typical Moog fashion) so that bass players will love
it! It's also ideal for guitar players who are looking for a heavier,
darker sound. |

Analog Delay
MF-104Z
The new 'Z' from Moog Music is a
1000 msec totally analog delay. One Full Second of analog delay time
makes the MF-104Z
the longest standalone analog delay module on the market. That’s
exciting but the reason many of you have been clamoring for Moog to
build a delay (again) is the unmistakable sound, quality, and
flexibility of this newest Moogerfooger. Learn more by clicking the

Etherwave®
Theremin, Standard
The
theremin is one of the oldest electronic instruments, and the only one
known that you play without touching. Moving your hands in the space
around its antennas controls pitch and volume. Like the Ethervox, the
Etherwave is an authentic adaptation of inventor Leon Theremin's
original design.
The Etherwave is a quality theremin with a design that retains many
characteristics of the original theremins, including a five-octave
pitch range and reliable spacing between notes for sophisticated
playability. Antennas are nickel-plated 3/8" brass tube and cabinets
are furniture-grade hardwood, finished black. The Etherwave is fitted
with an adapter for mounting on a standard microphone stand and is
designed for use with a musical instrument amplifier such as the Moog
TB-15.
All Etherwaves in the ship with two video tutorials on one DVD: Clara
Rockmore: the Greatest Theremin Virtuosa, and Mastering the Theremin,
featuring Lydia
Kavina. |

Electric Blue
This is one beautiful product. It's
the Voyager with all the sonic quality one would expect.
Played by the likes of Jesse Carmichael of Maroon5 and Printz Board of
the Black Eyed Peas. The Electric Blue Voyager
is housed in a fractal blue solid ash cabinet. At first it looks black
but as one draws near the fractal blue flecks pop out in an eye
catching display. Combine this with the stunning look of the electric
blue back lit panel, new blue LED's, and some new killer patches and
you have an instrument you will be proud to play for a lifetime.
Now, all Electric Blues will have the upgraded software and hardware to
allow the player 7 banks of 128 presets and the following capabilities:
The External Mixer knob (just right of the display panel) has a dual
function that allows you to rapidly change presets as opposed to
continuously punching the cursor buttons.
Other Enhancements:
- Allows you to send either 7 or 14 bit resolution from the Mod Wheel.
- Optionally reduces the amount of MIDI data being sent from the Touch
Surface.
(These changes enable the Voyager to work better with older MIDI
equipment.)
-Transpose the entire keyboard by up to 2 octaves up or down. |

Rack Mount
Edition
New! Moog Clinician Brian Kehew
talks about the new rack mount in this: Rack Mount Video. Beware this is an 18 Meg file!
The Minimoog Voyager Rack Mount Edition takes all the mind-bending
power of the Minimoog Voyager and packages it in a 19" wide by 5U (8
3/4") high package, which is designed for rack-mount or table-top use.
The Voyager Rack Mount Edition contains all the synthesis functions of
the award-winning Voyager. It also includes the Electric Blue back lit
panel that we introduced with the Anniversary Edition
Voyager, complete with front panel brightness control. A new feature is
the switchable output mode. A slider switch on the rear panel selects
-2dBm unbalanced, floating outputs, or +4 dBm, 600 Ohm electronically
balanced outputs for professional applications. Also new is the Input
Accessory Port, for CV/Gate Inputs.
The Voyager Rack Mount Edition can be controlled completely through
MIDI. All front panel controls transmit and receive MIDI Continuous
Controller messages. Match the RME (or up to 16 of them!) up with your
existing Voyager to achieve some serious polyphony.
The Rack Mount Edition is now available from Moog Dealers.
Now, all Rack Mount Editions will have the upgraded software and
hardware to allow the player 7 banks of 128 presets and the following
capabilities:
The External Mixer knob (just right of the display panel) has a dual
function that allows you to rapidly change presets as opposed to
continuously punching the cursor buttons.
MIDI Enhancements:
- Allows you to send either 7 or 14 bit resolution from the Mod Wheel.
- Optionally reduces the amount of MIDI data being sent from the Touch
Surface.
(These changes enable the Voyager to work better with older MIDI
equipment.)
So many sounds to spark your creativity!

This is the classic Moog filter that changed the sound of electronic music. Reach out and sweep the filter with the CUTOFF knob. Or use the ENVELOPE section to do it
automatically. Or plug in one or more expression pedals or control voltages to do it. Or do all three. This is the best-sounding, most playable filter you can have!

The all-analog ring modulator rebuilds your sound into two separate tones and then uses an internal carrier oscillator to
spread those tones apart in the frequency spectrum. The higher the carrier frequency, the more the new tones are separated. The effects can be anything from slow,
velvet-smooth tremelo, to chains jangling in a Chinese gong to classic ?outer space? sounds. The LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) imparts trills, vibratos, siren effects. You want
unlimited new sounds? Here they are!

Phasing is one of the best ways to impart motion to a track and to make sounds come alive. With the MF-103 Phaser
you can get swirling, shimmering, vibrating effects; fill up a whole stage from one sound source; even create brand new sonic textures. You can create phasing sweeps that are so
slow and subtle that they operate on a subliminal level, or so fast that your instrument sound becomes virtually unrecognizable--or anything in between.

MuRF stands for "Multiple Resonance Filter Array". What this means is the MuRF has 8 filters - their levels are
controlled by 8 sliders. It looks like a graphic eq, but the sound of the filters are very different: warm and resonant. For guitar, keyboard and etc.
